In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Rochester; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. Typical hours are 10:30 AM–10 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Mandarin Court at (585) 334-1500; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is mandarincourtroc.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 446 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Rochester follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Got takeout. Overall mid, not the worst but there’s definitely better Chinese food in the area and I won’t be ordering from here again. Chicken Fried rice: this was the worst one for me, just incredibly bland, no flavor. Chicken was flavorless too. Duck sauce saved it but I was really disappointed with that. Wonton soup: pretty good, again I’ve had better, this one didn’t have any green onions so the broth flavor lacked depth. The wontons themselves were good. I don’t think it’s possible to screw those up though. Chicken lo mein: okay, better than the fried rice for sure, more flavor. But the veggies were undercooked so I got pretty crunchy bites of onion. Probably the best thing of everything I ordered besides the wonton soup. Pork egg roll: good. You really can’t mess up an egg roll. Sweet and sour chicken: good. They had a nice crunch. The chicken inside didn’t have much flavor but I think that’s actually normal for this kind of fried chicken because you’re supposed to dip it in the sauce, which was perfectly standard as well. They were nice handing me my order, I didn’t really look around on the inside but the dining area seemed small. But I’m only here to rate the food,

The absolute best. The sesame tofu is absolutely perfect. I can barely tell it's tofu. I haven't been able to find anywhere better than yours. Waitress was very kind and patient with me too as I was really tired and kept trying to tap prematurely 😂😂 thank you!

Tonight’s Chinese food was so good! I got soup, Mom got soup — we both love hot & sour soup. David got the sweet & sour chicken, and it was excellent. We also split the appetizers, including beef on a stick, which I had never ordered before. It was amazing, and I’ll definitely be ordering it again very soon!

Will go back here for more Chinese food. This place is small. They have 2 tables for dine in if you need, but it’s surrounded by boxes. They have a website to order online, and it’s 10% off, but you pay when you pick up the food. I got tso chicken and orange chicken. Both are good flavor and not too sweet. The chicken aren’t as crunchy as I hope but it isn’t a big deal. Their rice is soft. The price is similar to other Chinese place.

Im a truck driver from New Orleans LA!! I was in town for a 34 reset because my delivery is Monday. I had to eat! So I looked and chose here because it was the closest to my delivery! I’m glad i did. So glad that I ate here Saturday night and Sunday night I’m definitely coming back here next time I deliver. I have eaten a lot of Chinese food around the country. This is top notch!!! 9/10!!! I got the shrimp and mixed veggies I told them make it spicy and they prepared it perfectly!!!
